8x8 vs Aircall: which one dials for an SDR team, and what it costs

By Abhi Chawla, founder · Last updated October 17, 2026

The pages that rank for 8x8 vs Aircall compare two phone systems on video calls, uptime and certifications. An SDR team has a narrower question: which plan of each lets a rep work through a list, and what does that month cost. This page answers that one.

If you are comparing the whole field rather than two phone systems, it is priced on the best power dialer software in 2026 and the cheapest power dialers, ranked by true cost.

The plain way to read this table: Aircall is a phone system with a dialer on its upper plan, 8x8 is a communications suite with a dialer in its contact-centre product, and DialSheet is a dialer that runs on your own phone numbers. If your reps already live in an 8x8 Work or Aircall Essentials account, neither one gives them a dialer without an upgrade.

8x8 vs Aircall cost: the month for an outbound team

A seat price is not the month. Aircall’s Professional seat bundles US and Canada minutes; 8x8 is quoted, so its column uses the low end of the reported Contact Center range; DialSheet meters calls on your own Twilio account, so its columns include them.

A month, October 2026. Aircall Professional at $50 a licence annual with its 3-licence minimum applied, one number per account and $6 for each extra caller ID; US and Canada minutes bundled. 8x8 at ~$85 an agent (reported, no minimum published), onboarding not included. DialSheet: $29 first seat, $29 each after, month to month, plus each rep's Twilio from perRepTelephony(): power dial at 100 dials a day, parallel at 300 with answering machine detection on every dial, 21 working days, 25% voicemail, 10% connects at 3 minutes, billed minutes at $0.014, the browser leg at $0.004, one number each.

Two DialSheet reps$112no minimum
Aircall crossover101/daydials a rep, 3+ reps, one line

Where we lose, in numbers: at three reps the Aircall bill is $162 against $168 for DialSheet at 100 dials a day, and every extra dial a day widens Aircall’s lead because its minutes are bundled. A team of three or more that power-dials past about 101 numbers a rep a day on one line, signs a year, and wants US and Canada calling in the seat pays less on Aircall Professional. Against 8x8’s reported $85 agent, DialSheet stays cheaper up to about 211 single-line dials a rep a day. A team that wants parallel dialing, pays by the month, or has one or two reps is still better off on DialSheet.

A first SDR team on DialSheet: three reps at $29 a seat is $87 of software, plus wholesale Twilio minutes. Watch the video or open it on YouTube.

8x8 vs Aircall for SDRs: the dialer each one sells

Aircall sells its Power Dialer on Professional: a rep loads a list from the CRM and the dialer calls one number after the next, with voicemail drop and the call logged back to HubSpot or Salesforce. It is single-line by design. Essentials, the cheaper plan, is a phone system with no dialer.

8x8 sells the 8x8 Auto Dialer inside 8x8 Contact Center. An admin builds a campaign in Configuration Manager, the campaign feeds an outbound queue, and the queue runs in preview, progressive or predictive mode; progressive and predictive are only available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK and the US. 8x8’s own documentation limits campaign lists to its Local CRM or Salesforce, and agents work them in the Salesforce Multi Channel interface. It is a contact-centre tool: strong for a supervised floor with queues and skills, heavy for three SDRs with a spreadsheet.

DialSheet runs both modes from the same seat. Power Dial calls one number at a time with no pause when someone answers; the parallel dialer rings 2 to 5 lines, screens voicemail and connects the first person who picks up. Lists come in from a CSV, Google Sheets or the API.

DialSheet's parallel dialer rings several lines at once, screens voicemail, and connects the first person who answers. Watch the video or open it on YouTube.

What people say about 8x8 and Aircall

The threads we read on October 17, 2026 split the same way the products do. Aircall is praised for setup measured in minutes and a CRM sync that works on day one; an r/ITManagers poster who chose it said exactly that, and the complaints that recur are support and billing, including a thread titled “Alternatives to AirCall?” opened over both. 8x8 is praised for call quality and reach across countries, and criticised for a dense admin console and support; an r/sysadmin thread looking for an 8x8 replacement opens with the support team vanishing when needed. The structural complaint about each is pricing: Aircall’s 3-licence minimum for a team of one or two, and 8x8’s refusal to publish a price at all.

What DialSheet does not do

If you are buying for a team

A DialSheet team is $29 for the first seat and $29 for each rep after it, with no minimum: $290 of software for ten, against $554 for ten Aircall Professional licences and about $850 for ten 8x8 Contact Center agents. What ships in that seat for a manager: assign leads to reps, or let the team work a shared pool; a caller ID per rep, pinned to that rep; shared call scripts, so a new hire opens the same way as the floor; a team dashboard: assigned, connected, meetings booked, no-answers and talk time per rep, over any date range. Our largest published team is a UK accountancy practice that put a nine-rep calling floor live in a day. If Dialpad is on the same shortlist, Aircall vs Dialpad prices both for outbound teams, and Aircall pricing lists every add-on.

A three-rep DialSheet team: $87 a month of software, no seat minimum, free for one person. Watch the video or open it on YouTube.

8x8 vs Aircall questions

Is 8x8 or Aircall better for SDRs?

For an SDR team that needs to dial lists, neither phone system is the strongest buy: DialSheet is, if the team wants a power dialer and a 2–5 line parallel dialer in one $29 seat, month to month, with no seat minimum. Between the two, Aircall is the easier SDR tool: a published price, a power dialer on Professional at $50 a licence annual ($70 monthly) with a 3-licence minimum, and native HubSpot and Salesforce sync. 8x8's auto dialer sits in 8x8 Contact Center, is quote-only (reported from about $85 an agent), and builds campaign lists only from 8x8's own CRM or Salesforce. Neither documents a parallel dialer.

How much does 8x8 cost per month?

8x8 publishes no price: as of October 17, 2026, every product on 8x8.com/products/plans-and-pricing routes to "Request a Quote". Third-party trackers report 8x8 Work X2 at about $24 a user a month annual ($28 monthly) and X4 at about $44 ($57), neither with an auto dialer, and 8x8 Contact Center from about $85 to $140+ an agent, with onboarding fees reported from $1,000. For comparison, DialSheet is free for one person, with a list of up to 500 leads and 500 calls a month, then $29/month per seat with calls on your own Twilio at ~$0.014/min.

8x8 vs Aircall cost: what does a three-rep outbound team pay?

Three Aircall Professional licences with a caller ID for each rep are $162 a month on annual billing, US and Canada minutes bundled. Three 8x8 Contact Center agents at the low end of the reported range are about $255 before onboarding. Three DialSheet reps power-dialing 100 numbers a day are about $168 a month all in, seats plus Twilio minutes on both call legs. Past about 101 dials a rep a day on one line, Aircall's bundled minutes make it the cheaper of the two per rep at three or more reps; DialSheet stays cheaper for one or two reps and is the only one of the three with parallel dialing in the seat.

Does Aircall or 8x8 have a power dialer?

Both do, on specific plans. Aircall's Power Dialer is on Professional and Enterprise only, not Essentials. 8x8's Auto Dialer (preview, progressive and predictive modes) is part of 8x8 Contact Center, not the 8x8 Work phone plans; progressive and predictive dialing run only in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK and the US, and agents work it from the Salesforce Multi Channel interface or 8x8's own CRM. DialSheet's Power Dial is in every seat, free plan included, and the parallel dialer is in the $29 Pro seat.

Does Aircall or 8x8 have a parallel dialer?

Neither documents one as of October 2026: Aircall's dialer calls one number at a time, and 8x8's predictive mode paces calls across a contact-centre queue rather than ringing several lines for one rep. DialSheet's parallel dialer rings 2 to 5 lines for one rep, screens voicemail and connects the first person who answers, inside the $29 seat; one rep at 300 parallel dials a day is about $156 a month all in. Among dedicated parallel dialers, Orum is reported from about $250 a seat with a 9-seat minimum.

Who are Aircall's main competitors?

For outbound calling: DialSheet (a power and parallel dialer at $29 a seat, month to month, no minimum), JustCall ($29–89 a user, 2-licence minimum), Dialpad, RingCentral and 8x8 as phone systems with contact-centre add-ons, CloudTalk, and PhoneBurner for single-line power dialing. 8x8 is the one to shortlist when the purchase is a whole communications suite with video, chat and a contact centre across many countries; for an SDR team buying a dialer it is the heaviest option on the list.
