Close vs Pipedrive in 2026: pricing, calling, and which to buy if your team lives on the phone
Close and Pipedrive are both small-business sales CRMs, and the comparisons on page one line them up on pipelines and seat prices. The difference that decides the bill for a team that cold calls is simpler: Close can dial and Pipedrive cannot. This page prices both with the calling included, for three reps.

If the dialer is the real purchase, the wider field is priced on the best power dialer software in 2026 and the most affordable power dialers, ranked by true cost.

Close vs Pipedrive pricing for a team that calls: the monthly bill for three reps
A seat price is not a calling bill. Close charges for calls on top of the seat; Pipedrive needs a dialer on top of the seat. Here is the month for three reps power-dialing 100 numbers a day, with the calling in.
| Stack | Per rep | Three reps | What the calling is |
|---|---|---|---|
| DialSheet Pro | $56 | $168 | Power and parallel dialer in the seat; Twilio minutes, both legs, a number |
| Close Essentials | $59 | $177 | Click-to-call only; no power dialer |
| Close Growth | $123 | $369 | Power dialer; calls ~$0.02/min |
| Pipedrive Lite + CloudTalk | $54 | $162 | CloudTalk Starter with its Power Dialer add-on, US and Canada minutes bundled, annual |
| Pipedrive Growth + CloudTalk | $79 | $237 | The same CloudTalk seat beside Pipedrive automations |
| Pipedrive Growth + DialSheet | $95 | $285 | Keep Pipedrive; calls log back through the webhook and Zapier or Make |
Annual-billing seat prices, October 2026. 100 dials a rep a day for 21 working days, our default mix (25% voicemail, 10% connects at 3 minutes). DialSheet's Twilio from perRepTelephony(): billed minutes at $0.014, the browser leg at $0.004 including unanswered rings, one number. Close usage: the same billed minutes at Close's published ~$0.02 plus a ~$1 number; Close publishes no browser-leg rate, so none is added. CloudTalk Starter $25 + Power add-on $15, billed annually, minutes included (cloudtalk.io, read October 10, 2026).
The order changes with volume because DialSheet’s minutes are metered and CloudTalk’s are bundled. A DialSheet rep costs less than Pipedrive Growth plus a CloudTalk power seat up to about 189 dials a day, and less than Pipedrive Lite plus that seat up to about 93. Close Growth meters its calls too, so it stays above a DialSheet rep until about 2,230 dials a day, a volume no single-line rep reaches.

Parallel dialing: Close Scale vs Pipedrive plus CloudTalk vs DialSheet
A team that wants more than one line per rep has three routes. Close sells a predictive dialer on Scale at $139 a user. Pipedrive teams add CloudTalk’s Parallel add-on, $64 a seat on Starter, billed annually, up to 5 lines. DialSheet runs two to 5 lines in the $29 seat. For three reps at 300 dials a day: DialSheet about $468 (with answering machine detection on every dial), Close Scale about $627 with its usage, Pipedrive Growth plus CloudTalk parallel $309 with minutes bundled. Past about 175 parallel dials a rep a day, the Pipedrive and CloudTalk stack is the cheaper one, on a yearly bill.
Close: what you get, and what people complain about
Close was built for inside sales. Essentials ($35 a user annual, $49 monthly) has calling, SMS, email and unlimited leads; Growth ($99) adds workflows, Chloe in workflows, the power dialer and bulk email; Scale ($139) adds role-based permissions, the predictive dialer, unlimited call recording retention and live call coaching. Solo ($9) is limited to one user and 10,000 leads. Every plan now carries a monthly AI credit allowance per user.
The complaints are about what sits on top of the seat. Calls and SMS are billed as usage, passed through at about $0.02 a minute for most US calls; Call Assistant transcription is $50 a month plus $0.02 a minute; and anything automated, including the power dialer, starts on Growth, so a team that wants to dial lists pays $99 a seat before the first call. What the calling adds for a team is worked out line by line on Close CRM calling cost.
Pipedrive: what you get, and the downsides for a calling team
Pipedrive is a pipeline first: the visual deal board on every plan, email sync and AI report building on Lite ($14 a seat annual, $24 monthly), automations and sequences on Growth ($39), LeadBooster, Smart Docs and team inboxes on Premium ($59), data enrichment and a sandbox on Ultimate ($79, which also carries 20% off CloudTalk). It has more than 500 Marketplace integrations and a 14-day trial, with no free plan.
For a team that dials, its own help centre settles the main question: Pipedrive “doesn’t have a built-in calling integration”. Calls go through CloudTalk, Kixie, Aircall, JustCall, CallHippo, Toky or Circleloop, each its own subscription per rep. The other downsides are on the pricing pages: every seat is billed whether or not it is assigned, and below Ultimate, automations, reports and custom fields are capped, with $50-a-month top-up packs to lift them from Growth upward.

What DialSheet does not do

If you are buying for a calling team
A DialSheet team is $29 for the first seat and $29 for each rep after it, with no minimum: $145 of software for five before Twilio usage. What ships in that seat for a manager: assign leads to reps, or let the team work a shared pool; a caller ID per rep, pinned to that rep; shared call scripts, so a new hire opens the same way as the floor; a team dashboard: assigned, connected, meetings booked, no-answers and talk time per rep, over any date range. Our largest published team is a UK accountancy practice that put a nine-rep calling floor live in a day. If you are leaving Close for the price, Close CRM alternatives prices ten options for a calling team; if you want a CRM with the dialer already in it, CRMs with a built-in power dialer reads eleven of them.

Close or Pipedrive: which should a calling team buy?
DialSheet
A team choosing a CRM because it needs to dial lists every day. A pipeline, a power dialer and a 2–5 line parallel dialer in a $29 seat; $168 for three reps at 100 dials a day, all in.
DialSheet
A team already on Pipedrive that wants to start calling without migrating. Free to start beside Pipedrive; calls log back through the webhook and Zapier or Make, month to month.
Close
An inside sales team that wants email workflows, sequences and the dialer on one record. Calling, SMS and email are built in; the power dialer is on Growth at $99 a user.
Pipedrive + CloudTalk
A Pipedrive team whose reps power-dial more than ~189 numbers a day and will sign a year. CloudTalk’s seat bundles US and Canada minutes; Pipedrive Ultimate takes 20% off it.
Close vs Pipedrive questions
Close vs Pipedrive: which is better for a sales team that calls?
Close, if you want the CRM and the dialer from one vendor: it has calling from Essentials ($35 a user annual) and a power dialer from Growth ($99), with calls passed through at about $0.02 a minute. Pipedrive has no built-in calling, so a calling team adds a Marketplace dialer such as CloudTalk to every seat. If the calling is the reason you are buying, DialSheet is the cheaper third option: a pipeline, a power dialer and a 2–5 line parallel dialer in a $29 seat, month to month, about $168 a month all in for three reps at 100 dials a day against about $369 on Close Growth.
Is Close cheaper than Pipedrive?
No. Pipedrive's seats cost less at every tier: $14, $39, $59 and $79 a seat a month on annual billing, against Close's $9 (one user only), $35, $99 and $139. The gap narrows once you call: Pipedrive Growth plus a CloudTalk seat with its power dialer is about $79 a rep, and Close Growth with 100 dials a day of usage is about $123. On DialSheet the same rep is about $56 including Twilio minutes, with the pipeline in the seat.
Does Pipedrive have a built-in dialer?
No. Pipedrive's help centre (updated September 2, 2026) says Pipedrive "doesn't have a built-in calling integration"; calls go through a Marketplace app such as CloudTalk, Kixie, Aircall, JustCall, CallHippo, Toky or Circleloop, each billed separately. Close has calling built in from Essentials and a power dialer from Growth. DialSheet is a dialer with its own pipeline: a power dialer and a 2–5 line parallel dialer in a $29 seat, on your own Twilio account.
What are the downsides of using Pipedrive?
For a team that cold calls, three: there is no built-in calling, so every rep needs a second subscription to dial; every seat is billed whether it is assigned or not; and automations, reports and custom fields have caps below Ultimate, lifted with $50-a-month top-up packs from Growth upward. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Pipedrive's visual pipeline, 500+ integrations and lower seat prices are why teams that mostly manage deals pick it anyway.
Is Close a good CRM?
For inside sales teams that live on the phone, yes: calling, SMS and email are built in, the power dialer is on Growth ($99 a user annual) and a predictive dialer on Scale ($139), and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. The costs to watch are that workflows and the power dialer start on Growth, calls are billed on top at about $0.02 a minute, and Call Assistant transcription is $50 a month plus $0.02 a minute. A team buying Close mainly for the dialer can get a power and parallel dialer with a pipeline on DialSheet for $29 a seat.
What's the best platform to switch to if I'm outgrowing Close but want a similar workflow?
DialSheet, if what you use most in Close is the dialer: a power dialer, a 2–5 line parallel dialer, a pipeline, call recordings and AI call summaries are in a $29 seat, month to month, with calls on your own Twilio at ~$0.014/min. It has no workflow builder to match Close's and no predictive dialer. If you use Close mainly as a pipeline and email tool, Pipedrive Growth ($39 a seat annual) covers that for less, and you keep calling through a Marketplace app or a dialer like DialSheet beside it.
