Export contacts from Mojo Dialer and cancel without losing your data

Last updated September 4, 2026 · export and retention facts per Mojo's knowledge base and FAQ

Mojo is one of the easier dialers to leave: month to month, no penalty, and a real export. The two things that catch people are the line between your data and Mojo's licensed data, and the habit of cancelling first and exporting second. Here is the order, the boundary, and what the export looks like on the other side.

The short answer

Data and Dialer → export each list and group to a file, save the recordings you need, import, then cancel inside the account. Your imported, integration-posted and hand-entered contacts export; the licensed lead data (expireds, FSBO, Neighborhood Search) does not. No contract, no penalty, and Mojo keeps your data 90 days after cancellation.

In order

  1. Export every list and group. Data and Dialer section → the list or group → export. One file each; name them by list so the tags survive the move.
  2. Draw the line on licensed data. Records that arrived from a Mojo data subscription are Mojo's to license, not yours to take. The ones you have called, with your notes and outcomes attached, are your work product; keep those in the export and let the daily feed end with the subscription.
  3. Save recordings tied to live deals if you paid for the recording add-on.
  4. Import into the new dialer and check the counts.
  5. Cancel inside the account. Month to month, no penalty. Keep the confirmation. Your data stays 90 days if you need to come back.

Importing into DialSheet

Leads → Import → drop each file. The importer maps name, phone, email, address and property fields, keeps the list name as a tag, normalises every number to E.164 (undoing the spreadsheet damage Mojo exports do not have but re-saved files often do), dedupes on the clean number across files, and lists rows it could not parse. Add a column for the last Mojo outcome before importing so “called, no answer” and “callback Tuesday” are filters on day one rather than memories.

Replacing the data feed is a separate decision

Mojo bundles a dialer with lead products, and most people leaving it are leaving the dialer price, not the data. The data has to come from somewhere: a list vendor, county records, your MLS access. Sources and their real per-number prices are in where to get lead lists for cold calling. Decide that before you cancel the Mojo subscription that was feeding you, or you will have a cheaper dialer and nothing to dial.

The bill you are replacing

Two dialing agents on Mojo single-line with Voice, recording and caller ID: about $328 a month before data. The same two on DialSheet Pro plus their own Twilio: $29 of software plus about $20$82 of Twilio, roughly $49$111 all-in, recording and AI coaching included. The full menu and the crossover where Mojo's bundled minutes win are in Mojo Dialer pricing 2026.

Export first. Ninety days of retention is a safety net, not a plan. Access to the export tool ends with the subscription.

Your lists, your number, no per-licence menu.

Free for one person, $29 per 3 seats with recording, AI coaching and a parallel dialer on Pro, on your own Twilio at ~$0.014/min. No Twilio? A managed line is $49/month.

Questions people actually ask

How do I export my contacts from Mojo Dialer?

From the Data and Dialer section, per Mojo's knowledge base: your list and group data can be exported and downloaded as a file. You can export any of your own data, meaning records you imported from a spreadsheet, records posted in by an integration, and contacts you created by hand. Export list by list or group by group; each becomes its own file.

Can I export Mojo's lead data (expireds, FSBO, Neighborhood Search)?

Mojo's export covers data you brought in. The lead-data products are licensed subscriptions, and the records they deliver are not yours to take to another tool. Plan around it: the contacts you have already worked, with notes and outcomes, are your data and export; the daily feed of new expireds stops when the subscription does.

How do I cancel Mojo Dialer, and is there a penalty?

Mojo bills month to month with no contract and, per its FAQ, no cancellation penalty; you cancel from inside your account. That is genuinely better than the annual-term dialers. Cancel after the export, not before, and keep the confirmation. The licences you are ending are $10 Agent Access per user plus $89 single-line or $139 triple-line per dialing agent, plus any Voice, recording, caller-ID and data add-ons.

How long does Mojo keep my data after I cancel?

Ninety days, per Mojo, after which the account is purged. That window lets you reactivate if the move does not work out; it is not a reason to skip the export, because the export is what you will import into the new tool on day one.

What comes across when I import a Mojo export into another dialer?

Contacts with their phone numbers, emails, addresses, property fields and notes, and whatever list or group they were in, which becomes a tag. Call history and recordings do not import as call logs; keep the files. On DialSheet the importer normalises every number to E.164, dedupes on the clean number, maps custom columns, and reports rows it could not parse.

What does the replacement cost compared with Mojo?

Two agents on Mojo single-line with Voice, recording and caller ID: about $328 a month. The same two on DialSheet Pro plus their own Twilio: $29 of software plus about $20–82 of Twilio, roughly $49–111 all-in with recording and AI coaching included. Mojo's bundled minutes only win at several thousand talk minutes an agent; its data feed is the thing a switcher has to replace, and that is a list-vendor decision, not a dialer one.
